A native of New York City, his sweeping career spans decades and includes live appearances at major comedy clubs and casinos around the country. TV stints on Comedy Central, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, and Showtime At The Apollo, and training work with the likes of Adrien Brody and Judith Roberts on the major motion pictures Dummy and Dead Silence. Most recently, Michaels was honored at the 2010 International Ventriloquist Convention with the W.S. Berger Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Art of Ventriloquism, and appears (alongside three members of his 8-puppet posse) in MGMT's video for their latest hit "Flash Delirium." The video has been nominated for Best Rock Video at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
